((Okay, I made the history kind of short at the end because I didn't want the bio to get too long. Now all we have to do is figure out how Bethany and Constantine met. I left a lot of room open in Bethany's history so that should help.))
Name Bethany Renee Grant
Nickname --
Age 23 years old
Race - Vampire
Gender - Female
Alliance - Good
Skilled in the Powers of - Stealth
Personality – Bethany’s personality has changed greatly through out her years. Many events that toke place in her lifetime have had the largest impact, some seemingly altering her entirely. Before ascending to a vampire, she was a very boastful young woman, always bragging about her achievements and accomplishments to all who would take the time to listen. She never took the time to pay attention to others criticism or suggestions. Bethany felt like she stood above everyone in the crowd of warriors and that she would never fall to the ground.
Her past thoughts, opinions, and emotions toward things changed for the better after she fell victim in the arena. Bethany lost all sense of herself when she transformed into a vampire. Even though she is no longer what she was once, all is better for Bethany now understands the world more correctly and thus takes things more seriously than when she was imprudent.
She wanders through Dralicbourn, the city where she lives, searching to lend a hand. Younger Bethany would have never cared about who needed help, she was too focused on her own selfish desires to care. Bethany still enjoys fighting and challenges in any type or form. She is stubborn at times, her independent nature taking over. The smallest things in live interest her from skipping a stone through the water, to a simple breeze moving the tree leaves. Life is short and when it is gone, it is no more. She is thoughtful, soft-voiced, loving, and there if someone needs a shoulder to cry on.

Bethany has blonde hair that falls to her mid-back. Her eyes are ruby red with a golden ring around the outside. She has a soft tan from when she was once an arena warrior, it is slowly fading paler, but she is still able to keep it because she is one of the few vampires who can walk in the daylight. Bethany is about 5’3” and shaped fit from her active lifestyle. She wears her heavy armor usually; it can be unnoticeable when she hides it all behind a red cloak. She received it by her arena trainer when she first joined at a young age. She uses a chain whip and a short-sword to protect herself.
History
Bethany Renee Grant grew up in a small village where her family was the majority of the population. Bethany had a large family with many younger siblings. She is the second born, her brother Jake born three years before her. Valerie, Vincent, Gavin, and Jocelyn followed behind her. She had a tight-nit family who was supportive and caring. Her mother Helena was soft-skinned, short, and had good morals. Her father William was muscular, tall, and worked hard for what he believed in. Helena taught her the difference between right and wrong and William showed her that working hard got you further in life.
Her parents made a living by working in the local tavern; eventually becoming owners after the previous boss sold it and persisted into another career. This is when Bethany’s life truly began. She always told herself to ignore her dreams for something more, but Bethany never had the heart to leave these things alone. Her life felt so boring and lonesome. Waking up, going to school, coming home to watch the children while her parents slaved away. It was the same thing repeatedly and frankly, she was sick of it.
Bethany loved the feeling of her hand gripped firmly around a sword’s crosshair. The way the sharp blade would slice the air as she twirled it around pretending to be someone she was not. Soon she began to understand how to swing a sword with just as much grace as a dancer would during a play. Bethany had no formal learning so lacked many important lessons, but that did not seem to hold her back in her development. She quickly learned the ways of the sword and was able to hold her own against anything that came her way.
It was an average evening at Bethany’s home. She had just returned from gathering a vase-full of wildflowers when her mother greeted her by the front door. Helena had a small smile on her face, one that rarely showed for any reason. She told Bethany about reopening the inn in their name and that the last owner sold it at a reasonable price. After a short conversation about it all, Helena sent Bethany away to find Vincent and Gavin who had yet to return home.
Bethany handed her mother the flowers, picked up her sword that was leaning against the house, and went on her way. The sword was not in the greatest condition; William mended this one from scrap metal so it was less than fancy like a true blade. Once Bethany came to a forest clearing, where the two brothers usually played at, she called out for them. No one replied, not even a stray animal made a sound or movement of acknowledgement. After roaming through other parts of the forest, Bethany felt worried that her younger brothers were in trouble. She thought that the best thing to do was to return home and call for her father William to help search.
On returning to her house, Bethany decided to take the long way in hopes to find a clue as to where they were located. This was a decision for the better. She ran into Vincent and Gavin near the edge of a mountain, however that was not odd for their village was at the foot of a mountain strip. They were walking slowly kicking pebbles as they did so. It was not until they hear the voice of someone above them that they began caring for the world around them.
On a ledge stood two large and muscular men, all looking down at the two boys with wicked grins. They had followed Vincent and Gavin around that day after they saw them enter an abandon gem quarry. The boys, being boys, curiously searched around the unused area poking and prodding things and soon came across some shining stones laid nearly in a bed of mud. Vincent thought that it would be a good idea to give it to their parents as a gift, and Gavin agreed, so they picked up the few that they could remove and headed on their way. They had no idea that they were precious uncut gems, worth much more than they intended. Neither of the men noticed Bethany coming down the pathway, watching all before her. The tallest and strongest man shoved a large rock off the cliff, it tumbling down toward the boys.
Bethany saw this happen, as so did the boys. They felt frozen in shock, to afraid to move away in time. Luckily, their elder sister was there to save them from death. She came running at them, quicker than the rock fell and took Vincent by the arm and Gavin by the neck of his shirt and threw them out of the way. The rock shook the ground as it landed beside Bethany who moved just a few inches out of the way moments before.
Both of the men skidded down to the three children. Bethany stood in front of her brothers as they sat on the ground wiping dirt off their hands and knees. She did not have her sword drawn, but she did after the men drew their weapons. The feeling of excitement, fear, and exhaustion overwhelmed her as she twisted around dodging the enemies’ blades that were better equipped for swordsmanship. A light sting put a smile on her face when one of the blades grazed her arm. It was the danger of the blade’s owner, and the caution she needed to use that made it feel all the better. Bethany soon tired the men out and they fell to the ground wounded but not dead. She was just as tired as they were. Her eyes caught sight of another man coming near, she did not feel up combating, but she took a fighting stance anyway, breathing heavily, her fingers growing numb, and arms wiggly. Bethany smiled when she realized that it was not an enemy but Monroe, the previous possessor of the tavern.
Monroe told Bethany, Vincent, and Gavin how he was standing aside watching everything. He particularly mentioned that Bethany’s skill in swordsmanship was quiet good as too her agility. The tall man stated that he took up a job offering to be an arena trainer. He was once a champion there years earlier and the thought of returning to train those brought a smile to his face. Monroe asked Bethany if she had ever considered traveling to the arena to fight in the junior rounds. Monroe listened to her say that she did not know that there was an arena and now that she knew, she wished to go there and be an arena warrior.
((Going to speed things up))
Bethany finally convinced her parents to let her travel with Monroe to the large city were the arena was located. It took many months before Bethany and Monroe arrived at the arena. Things were so different here yet felt so right. As a first opponent, Bethany was to fight a large man with an axe the size of her head. This was the first round, the only way for her to get true acceptance. The fight lasted nearly an hour; both were tired but not the crowd. The audience roared and booed, praised and called out to their favorite and least favorite fighter. Those who favored Bethany egged her on seeming to be the only reason she kept fighting. Her heart pounded as she hit her opponent for the last time with her sword, he fell to the ground unconscious. She raised her arms above her head in victory then made her way back to the blood-room, the room where she would collect her payment and speak with Monroe. As a prize for placing first, Bethany was rewarded with a set of new armor from the arena owner himself.
Years pasted by and Bethany grew stronger and more cunning. She was no longer her old self, and even Monroe who had barely known noticed. Bethany was more boastful and stubborn, acting as if no one could defeat her. This all changed after her last battle with a man named Leo.
Bethany was the arena champion with a battle loss total of one, and that was when she fought against Monroe. Leo was a new arena warrior and no one knew a lot about him, only that he was soaring through the ranks quickly and jeopardizing those who stood above him. Bethany, being naïve and impatient, accepted a challenge from Leo without consulting Monroe first. She knew she could take him on, but failed to brief with those more experienced than her.
Bethany’s life changed when Leo defeated her. The fight was going quiet well; she was winning until Leo’s techniques changed. His pace accelerated, his strength grew beyond her own, and Leo’s eyes glowed an eerie red. Bethany let her guard down when Leo disappeared out of her sight for nearly twenty seconds. She thought that he ran away because that was too long, until her neck stung and she heard her skin break. Her vision fogged and she soon fell to the ground, staring up at the man who bit her. Leo’s teeth were longer than a normal humans were, he must have been a vampire.
Leo took Bethany’s place as arena champion, his secret of how he unfairly broke Bethany down kept hidden. He was a vampire of high ranking, and had the ability to past the “Vampiric Disease” onto her, as well as the ability to walk in the sunlight were most vampires couldn’t. That night Bethany retreated to a small village a little ways away from the large city. Monroe could no longer train her for she had already surpassed him, and she was no longer able to fight at the arena because Leo kicked her out of her place. In an inn similar to the one her parents own, she rented a room.
Bethany’s body quickly changed the night of the transformation. It shook and trembled, chilled as the blood that flowed through her veined felt like it turned to ice. She fell into a state much like an ill patient would at the edge of death. The morning afterwards, she woke up with a horrible headache, happy that she did not die as she thought. Looking into the mirror, she realized her eyes were a different colour and her teeth grew longer into fangs. Bethany felt more powerful and immune to things, but she was not her self, and because of that, she feared rejection and isolated herself for a while until she gained knowledge of what she was now. In her new life, she was a vampire.
